      Fantastic job but artificially limited hours

      Pros

      For clarity since there are many positions available to outsiders and students at NU: I worked as a graduate research associate for the Center of Democratic Studies, I had a fantastic time working there. Flexible hours Decent pay for a student (couldn't pay rent in Boston on it, but you could afford to eat and have an existence on it) Satisfying and interesting work, for a graduate student it's a great opportunity getting to work within the field you're studying with a highly experienced professor.

      Cons

      During the school year you have a cap on your hours at 20 and can get in trouble for exceeding that too often.
