Pros

Small teams encourages lots of cross-teams collaborations between departments and colleges. Smaller class sizes allows for more personalized experiences for students and meaningful relationships with their faculty and staff.

Cons

Northeastern is quick to grow, but often times the foundation is to support this growth is not fully implemented well or adequately, which requires the full extension of people's bandwidth in a highly demanding work environment.

High Burnout, Little Support

Pros

Students can be good, but tend to be a double edged sword. If people are going into higher-education, they typically *want* to be there, so you’ll see a lot of passion. Until they burn out and enter a different field.

Cons

As stated, students can be a double edged sword - they will not budge if they don’t get their way. Little support from upper administration, student/employee retention isn’t their priority. Offices very siloed, difficult to communicate across campus. Very anti-union, so there isn’t a lot of support.

Cons

-Bad communication -No benefits: what they call "benefits" are actually basic worker rights and some of them are not even met -Low pay, no moving compensation of any kind -Very bad administration -Old infrastructure and they refuse to improve equipment -Toxic work environment: my boos literally told me I should work after-hours without a pay because that's what scientists should do
