Great for an education, terrible culture as an employee

Pros

When you work at Northeastern you have the opportunity to get a free education, which truly is worth it. The faculty is comprised of some of the most incredible individuals from which I have had the pleasure to receive instruction. I also found that I had good work/life balance being that I was not expected to stay over time and was very rarely contacted outside of the office for work matters.

Cons

The culture is quite nasty and people are generally unfriendly. I worked under some of the all time worst superiors I have ever had in my professional life. It wasn't until I was near the end of my time at Northeastern that I finally transitioned to support a truly remarkable leader at the University.

The only pro that I can think of is benefit

Cons

-very politics -low salary even compare to the school smaller than NEU -no room to grow -high workload, have to work outside the regular hour all the time, but no comp pay or comp time

- Depending on which department you work in, can be highly political - Summer is slow - People who have been there for a long time are stuck in their own ways
