Pros

Benefits and time off are fairly decent. Opportunities to take classes offered by company in various subjects if you want.

Cons

Technology very outdated, servers crash often. Jobs at the fund center very monotonous and not a lot of growth opportunity. Pay and bonus very very low compared to industry. Lots of people content to stay in same position, no passion. Very unmotivated middle management, like to have a lot of pointless meetings just to seem productive. Lots of micro managing.

Pros

Work/life balance is very good. Many of the employees are very good to work with. Doesn't mean they know what they are doing.

Cons

15 years ago there was Employee stock ownership plan, pension, 401(k) with matching, profit sharing and low pay. Now, no ESOP, no profit sharing, 401(k) matching has been decreased, pension has been decreased and still low pay. There is no reason to work there unless you don't want to be held accountable for anything. Employee moral is at rock bottom.

Pros

Reasons are very few and far between...decent amount of benefits offered (health, dental, vision, pre-tax commuter discount, 401k...all at discounted employee cost however). Stable place to work, almost takes effort to get fired. Some semi-intelligent people, and extremely few smart people.

Cons

Too many to list....management is a joke; any fat donkey can become a Second VP as long as they have been here for more than 25 yrs+. Too many people without college degrees, causing overall decline in employee intelligence. No reward to younger, talanted individuals. Prehistoric procedures rampant...equipment (fax machines and such) from the 1990's still in use. Very poor level of employee appreciation in terms of compensation or even team building activities. Training does not exist. Most duties could be automated by a computer!
