Pros

401k Matching starts at 100% of the 1st 4% & 50% of the next 4% and after you've been at the company long enough (I think that's how it works), it bumps to 50% of the next 6%. PTO is good too. You start at 3 weeks and bump up regularly. Caps at 200 hrs. You can roll over 2x your annual accrual. Education assistance.

Cons

You'll get moved to a classified program with no pay bump. In my current role, management will work you at a higher level and you don't get compensated for it or promoted. Very bad at employee retention. Lots of changes to policy and procedure all the time and no one know what they're doing. No sick time. Since the company is so big, your SOW is very narrow and the longer you stay the harder it is to leave b/c your experience becomes limited to very few areas - your only opportunity is to do the same job for a different company. Operators/technicians are micromanaged and treated like children.

Pros

Not really considered pro but: - Industry standard health benefits - Industry standard PTO accrual - 9x80 schedule - Industry standard base pay - Cool programs and tech

Cons

I've only had experience at the Melbourne Site - If you aren't a part of a clique or a DEI candidate good luck with career progression at NGC. - Numerous Senior Managers are terrible at their job and only get in those positions because of who they know. - Most jobs being posted already have a candidate picked out before the interview process begins. They waste peoples time and effort interviewing that way. - Bonus structure is the industry's worst - Melbourne area is becoming crowded and the is unbearable 9 months out of year. Melbourne area really has nothing going for it. - Florida cost of living is very high - No where to sit in the shade around campus if you just want to take a break outside. - Cafeteria is expensive if you're trying to eat healthy - Veterans Day isn't a paid holiday even though NGC main customer is the military and workforce has a very large veteran presence. Would rather had veterans day off instead of Labor Day.
