Pros

Office smells nice, great people, great benefits, witty corporate propaganda, the CEO's nice.

Cons

Working in a vault with no windows is kind of depressing. Some people try to act like it's the army. Loads of bureaucracy, loads and loads. You have to keep track of what you do with your time in 6 minute increments.

Pros

And they are very open to you trying a new "path" and will pay for you to go to school for that "path" (if you can justify that it somehow relates to your current job). - I had 6 managers during my 8 year tenure, and all of them were incredible. Majority of people on your team are great to work with. Working with other teams is when the egos and competitiveness comes in.

Cons

- It can get VERY political. - Egos are high for many. - I was 1 year into grad school program, which they committed to pay for, and then decided nah not going to pay for this anymore and took away funding. - There were 5 restructures in my org in 1.5 years which is why I left - Impossible to get the equipment needed. I had to BEG them to give me a new PC after my 5 year old pc stopped working. Had to write a 3 page essay to get a second monitor when I transitioned to fully remote. - Insurance is mid. - They took away my $6,000 bonus, but gave me a $500 gift card which was supposed to replace it. If you are considering joining Northrop Grumman, be very careful about joining the Corporate side. Try to get a job in one of the actual Sectors like Aerospace, Defense, Missions, and Space.
