Pros

The best reason to work for NGMS is to get your foot in the door with defense contract support. There are many opportunities to take courses offered by the company. The company also offers tuition reimbursement if your degree is approved.

Cons

The downside of working at NGMS at my particular location was the odd long hours; unfortunately overtime was not paid until you had 16 hours of overtime in a pay period and no opportunity to take it as comp time.

Pros

Northrop really seems to have their act together in the IT division. Most of the processes and procedures are very standardized (organized) and work pretty well throughout the company. Also, working for a Government defense contractor tends to give one a tremendous sense of pride and increased patriotism for our fine country.

Cons

HR supposedly uses fair market value for salaries. I know for a fact I am grossly underpaid for my skills / location / and knowledge.
