Pros

You stay busy as there is a lot of work to do. Medical and dental benefits are decent.

Cons

This is by far the worst company I've ever seen. There is no gratitude for people putting in a lot of overtime as exempt employees. The unpaid overtime is making the company a lot of money but the attitude is you're never doing enough. No comp time, not even a thank you. Employees are spiteful towards each other to the point of being verbally abusive. They take micro management to the extreme. Some managers treat employees horribly. You get to work, sit down, don't talk to anyone, and put in your time. Depending on the department you work in you're not allowed to have conversations with people at your desks even if it's work related. It's a very depressing environment. There is no flexibility in your schedule. Even something as small as a 5 minute adjustment (come in 5 minutes early and leave 5 minutes early) to catch a bus isn't allowed. People are literally running down the stairs at the end of their shift. Work/life balance doesn't exist. At all. The dress code is outdated and fairly ridiculous when employees have no contact with customers or the public. You're required to dress like you work at Nordstrom but get paid a Walmart salary. The company owns all the parking lots in the area but you have to pay top dollar to get a spot.

Pros

It is easy to advance in the company as most employees lack a college education, and critical thinking skills.

Cons

Northwest Administrators, Inc. is a for-profit organization, however, as they are a third party administrator, they administrate non-profit trust funds. As a result members of the management staff make less money than the Unionized entry level employees, as a way to reduce Administrative costs. The executives have all been with the company since the beginning and are extremely set in their ways; unwilling to adapt to the current century.
