Pros

A lot of great people work here..... for now.

Cons

Zero job security, even for loyal, high performers. I have watched, over the years, many amazing people get laid off with no warning, just a cold "you're getting laid off, here's a box for your stuff, please exit the building now". Low pay when compared to the rest of the industry.

Pros

My manager was humane Some of my colleagues were nice When I pointed out that my salary was below market, my manager worked to raise it

Cons

For a "health care" industry, the health care provided is poor CEO is out of touch with the employees Women are tasked with typical woman's work Software developers are treated better than other employee groups

Not the great place it used to be

Pros

There are some great people that work at Novarad, although a lot are leaving either on their own accord or by lay-offs.

Cons

The pay is well-below industry standard and yearly increases are almost non-existent. The owner/ceo has driven the company into the ground and had lost some amazing people along the way. If you’re considering working in the support department, be advised that the leader of that department is a micro-manager and a bully.

Novarad Response

Novarad Manager, Thank you for your valued feedback! At Novarad we do listen to our team members and when possible make adjustments and changes that will be helpful to their Novarad experience and to the success of the company. As a Novarad manager you can appreciate the many moving parts required to run a successful business while keeping 100 talented team members happy by meeting their expectations daily. It is not an easy job but a challenge that we believe we are meeting. In answer to some of your concerns let us state the following: 1. Novarad did have a small layoff earlier this year due to some economic conditions that were out of our control. We regretfully had to "right the ship" with some cost-cutting measures which were painful to all. Fortunately for us we have reversed the cost cutting measures within 6 months and the company is moving full steam ahead! Compared to the many tech companies that had layoffs this year this was monumental! 2. Novarad is fully aware of the total-compensation packages offered by tech companies of our same size and strives to stay competitive. We get our compensation information from a very reliable, and not self-reported comp survey company. Significant to note and different than many in our geographic area, Novarad is an organically grown company that is not beholden to any venture capitalist. This assures that when times are tough economically Novarad will still be in business 3. We are sorry that you have had a bad experience with the leader of our support team. As a Novarad manager you would know that consistently the top scores for our semi-annual Pulse Survey are due to our great managers and he is always close to the top of the list. As a manager yourself have you reached out to him personally with your concerns? His team would tell you that he is very approachable and personable. Once again thank you for the feedback. We hope that you will take the time to open up a conversation with others on the management team in the future to discuss your concerns. Thank you for choosing Novarad!
