Pros

Lots of opportunity for growth and learning. IT started from scratch, anyone with talent can come in and make a difference. Things are maturing now that some of the bad attitudes have left. Great mission - helping people get their wheelchairs.

Cons

There are many demands and not enough hands. People need to wear many hats which some people don't like. There are no pure managers - all the managers perform work, and some are key people for keeping things moving. Very little hierarchy because even the managers and up to the CIO dig in.

Pros

I met some great and exciting coworkers here. Medical benefits were good although strange they did not have DME coverage. Employee portion of benefit expense was quite high.

Cons

Management was a sore spot for this company. Management positions were filled by friends and lunch buddies. Hard workers got no recognition. Friends got special treatment. They started several recognition programs that all fizzled. When the company merged they cleaned house of those who made more. No loyalty. No respect. Emotional games.
