Pros

it was a paycheck that was at least on time everyother week.

Cons

in minn the trucks have no brakes, bald tires and 2 feet of snow,,u tell the manager,,he never gets them fixed, and yet if u crash u have to pay the first 200 dollars, they take it out of your check, they fired me because I carry a cell in my pocket, but towns are 40 miles apart and it gets 25 below here in minn. well they still fired me yet all the other pple do the same. the pay is horrible I made , what I made there 20 years ago. no one does anything and yet the new guy has to do everything, load the batteries, stock the shelfs, wrap the pallets,,total bs. you complain and you get fired. I mean like 3 teenagers bs for 6 hours and me the old guy does everything,, gets old real fast. them letting me go was the best thing ever happened to me. lol

Pros

The people you work with at the store level are the only pros to this job.

Cons

Excessive micromanagement, high pressure sales, too many tasks to fit into a regular shift, and a complete lack of concern for what they call their "team members" is the method of operation for O'Reilly's. Pay is horrendous, stress is even more-so if you don't meet their unrealistic sales goals. They say they offer an "incentive program" based on sales but it amounts to mere pennies for tons of high-pressure work. Management at the district and regional level is the worst part. They are micro-managers with only a vision for their own advancement. If you aren't helping them to advance, you're worthless. The only support you'll receive as a manager is constant negative emails and badgering from the district level and above. There is never anything positive regardless of how well you or your store is doing. O'Reilly's = hypocritical management.
