Pros

O'Reilly is a growing company, secure employment, close to home,

Cons

Continually asking team members to do more. When team members leave they often do not replace them and expect the remaining team members to do more and more work with no increase in pay/benefits. Job descriptions are lengthy and they expect you to be proficient at a variety of tasks and take these positions/responsibilities for $10 - Are they kidding? Really? They are totally inflexible about work schedules and rules. They Micromanage everything - usually a supervisor that is not able to do the job they are asking you to do. Lengthy Policy manual with many rules and regulations, but only seem to enforce them on team members they do not like or if they are trying to rid themselves of you. During initial interview, HR generalists and supervisors interviewing tend to overstate the company, benefits, and position you are applying for to make it sound better than it really is. Once you are on board you figure out that it isn't quite as good as they stated it was. Constant turnover keeps things in turmoil. Low pay and poor benefits cause people to come and go all the time. The company is making record profits - they need to reward the team that makes this possible not just the guys at the top.
