Pros
Literally none unless you like corporate subjugation and gaslighting.
Cons
The most demoralizing job I have ever had. This company puts a lot of effort into gaslighting their employees into believing that they are actively listening to them and have their best interests in mind. Needless to say, you would have to be unbearably naive to believe it. You are costs to them. Nothing more. Having worked at the retail side of Office Depot, I was somewhat primed for the Amazon-like mentality they truly have toward those who work for them. The department itself is laughable. Literally the brainchild of a corporate executive who wanted to make their name by creating a new team of support. Turns out when you bottleneck your employees every step of the way, it becomes near-impossible to accomplish anything productive. So many aspects of the job accomplish very little besides keeping customers placated. There are so many anecdotes I could talk about which reveal the true predatory nature this company has towards its customers and the brutal apathy it carries towards its non-corporate employees. Trust me, working retail is better. Don't make the same mistake I did and spend nearly a decade with this company thinking that things will change. They don't care about you. And they don't care if you know it.
