Pros

Family owned. Nice people. Handful of extremely talented managers. Owner is a very intelligent man with a passion for excellence.

Cons

Conservative to the point where it occasionally hurts the overall moral of operations, IT, and the client relationships.

Pros

You can meet some cool people, and really get to know those you work with on a daily basis. Most managers are active and engaged in what's going on throughout the day.

Cons

There can be long hours, advancement is rare, and can take forever. Pay is iffy, and reviews/raises never seem to be done when they are supposed to be.

Human resources has developed a process to now address late reviews. Management is responsible for ensuring that reviews are completed in a timely process and are now penalized if they do not complete them in the given time frame.

Pros

The people were decent. They apparently offer to move you to different buildings if hours are low, but no one ever has experienced that.

Cons

After the first week of working, I discovered that they lied about my pay. I was originally told that I would be making 10.50 an hour. Both my roommate and I received 9.00 an hour even though we have had experience that qualified for their "e-start" program. When confronting human resources, they said that we both needed additional training in order to get a raise even though we said we would not go lower than 10.00. There are no benefits for full-time employees. The warehouses are disgusting, lined with infestation traps, while the lunchrooms were covered in grime.

In order to be an AIB certified food grade building, the government requires that all food grade warehouses supply and use pest control devices. All of the ODW warehouses that are food grade contain these items. In addition, all full-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefit package comparable to the market. Hourly pay is always commensurate with experience and is reflective of current training.
