Pros

Great people to work with and had some amazing bosses here. Gained a lot of good experience and would definitely work here again if they had a facility in Florida.

Cons

Cons were not so much with ODWCS as with the customers they provided service to. Overall if I could go back to the beginning I still would have worked here.

Great people, but always room for improvement.

Pros

The people here are great, everyone looks out for one another. You get the sense the company actually cares about it's employee. The President and other members of the executive team are easy to reach and open to feedback. No holier than thou attitude. Hours are reasonable and there are plenty of opportunities.

Cons

Company is very risk-adverse. The industry as a whole is in a race to the bottom, so operations can end up understaffed just to make the sale. They maintain their own warehouse management system which is not as robust as commercial offerings. Other areas of IT are understaffed. Expect to wear multiple hats but only be paid for one of them. Often times new employees are told to report to the wrong person.

Pros

I was an employee for over 10 yrs. I would highly recommend ODW as a place to work, at any level in the organization. The Executive Team is engaged in the business and cares about the workforce and customers. The Senior Operations Team is as solid as they come and the Operations Leadership at the floor level genuinely care about people and behave like owners. The culture is value based, with emphasis on Trust, Team, and Balance. Trust is required for all successful relationships, as well as integrity and ethics, and ODW practices & possesses all of these characteristics. The organization is Team-based and supports this type of environment. Balance is owned by each individual, however, it is practiced at the Executive level and encouraged to be achieved by all. Growth is a driver of the business and ODW is positioned well to achieve their growth objectives.

Cons

The organization is learning to think more strategically & long term. This is new and at times, short term thinking-type of actions do re-appear. This is an issue with growth, no matter the company or industry, so I am confident this challenge will be worked out. Compensation tends to be a bit lower than the industry average of like size companies, however, the potential exists for all to participate in company-wide incentive plans (bonuses), along with several additional support programs in recognize performance.
