      Opaque Firms, No Structure for Career Progression in Place, No English Speaking Management

      Pros

      It's a great brand, it's well known in the market

      Cons

      lack of transparency and communication, you don't even know who is working in the same department, no objectives and strategy from top management is shared, no past experience is shared, KPIs are also not clear and change every week, immature management capabilities - seems to be an issue with Chinese management in general and especially in the crypto trading industry

      Pros

      Overall TC looks okay if you don't look at per hour pay

      Cons

      Company recently had a round of layoffs cutting around 20% of the workforce and managed to sweep it under the rug. Based on what I see around me, those who were competent at their work were fired, while those with very weak technical competencies/product knowledge and consistently inconvenience those around them somehow remained by being bootlickers to their managers.

      annual leave 20-25 days, good health insurance, team building allowance, some bonus

      Cons

      You are expected to work over time (no matter when) and 24h oncall whenever they need you (no matter which holiday) , and your OT is not paid. Strong policy, toxic culture and workplace, typical mainland China company. The engineering department is ruled by Alibaba previous managers, and the executive suite are all mainland China captalists. No WLB, no respect, no question. you get kicked out of here if you are not a mainland Chinese or good šŸ‘ licker. But still you can stay, by being a bad guy in the work place. For those in WEB2 considering joining WEB3, don't try your luck here. This comany is no better than a random WEB3 you bump into on the street.
