Thanks for your positive recommendation. We know that a total benefits and compensation package, designed to meet your specific needs and goals both inside and outside of the work environment, brings additional rewards that create peace of mind for you and your family. Since we became a not-for-profit healthcare organization, we have been making strides to create an experience, environment and culture where our employees are proud to work each day. As part of our growth under our new non-profit status, we are working hard to increase employee satisfaction in a number of different areas, including retention, compensation and benefits. Our Total Rewards team conducts market analyses annually, which allows us to continue to align our pay structure and merit increases with national and state standards for all professions, including nursing, while annual merit increases are based on each individual’s performance for the previous year. Our patients and employees are our top priority and, as a growing organization, we are working to address the transportation and parking concerns of both groups, which is a common issue with most large hospital systems across the country. We currently provide around-the-clock shuttle service, with frequent direct routes to our hospitals during peak times, such as shift change. We feel that the future is bright at OU Medicine and we anticipate continued growth and improved service to our patients, employees and our community. We are thankful that you are a part of our journey and wish you continued success.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you feel there are opportunities for professional growth at OU Medicine. As Oklahoma’s most comprehensive academic medical center, we are proud to offer additional learning and development opportunities to our nurses in a wide variety of specialties. We agree that OU Medicine is a great place, not just for new graduates, but for all nurses to grow in their practice. Regarding wages, each person’s compensation is carefully calculated on an individual basis with regards to years of experience in similar job responsibilities, internal equity and market data respective to each profession. As an organization, we believe it is important to offer competitive pay and an attractive benefits package to our employees. We recently completed multiple market analyses which allows us to better align our pay structure and merit increases with national and state standards for all professions, including nursing. We continue to monitor the local, regional and national trends and stay competitive in these areas and understand that our employees are a vital part of our mission to be the premier healthcare provider in Oklahoma and a national leader in the industry. We believe the future is bright at OU Medicine and we anticipate continued growth and improved service to our community and our employees. We are thankful that you are a part of our journey and wish you continued success.

Thanks for your review. We are encouraged to hear that you’d recommend working at OU Medicine. Providing high-quality, patient-centered care is at the core of all that we do: whether it’s for a patient seeking routine care or someone with complex medical needs, we couldn’t do it without people like you. Since OU Medicine became a non-profit healthcare organization in early 2018, we have made significant progress as an organization: our recruiters continue to set company hiring records, our compensation and benefits are improving and our growth is unprecedented: we hired over 1,400 new employees in 2018 alone. As a result of our continued growth, OU Medicine faces new opportunities and challenges every day, but we strive to create an experience, environment and culture where our employees are proud to work each day. We believe that the future is bright at OU Medicine, and we appreciate your patience during this exciting time of growth. We wish you the best in your personal and professional endeavors.
