Pros

Okay pay. Good if you enjoy driving all day.

Cons

Absolutely mismanaged company. Management do not care about their staff, you are just another number to them. Deliveries are very heavy so your back will be breaking every shift. Management have no interest in supporting staff with injuries and will tell you you're just not fit for the job. Reasonable adjustments is just not in their vocabulary. Basically, if you're struggling then you're on your own and management will do their best to push you out of the company. Not to mention the cliques within the company. Avoid ocado and definitely avoid Weybridge if you can afford to.

Pros

Good for an easy start or laid back life with lots of downtime. Good business benefits. Good for someone looking to try management for the first time no experience needed.

Cons

Management underhand each other to gain self promotions. Requires you to become a “yes man” to stay within employment.

Toxic company culture

Pros

Smart engineers, work life balance is questionable - as engineer you will be on call support rota which impacts your personal life.

Cons

Senior leadership on site is supporting and contributing to the toxic culture - talking behind the back of people, creating intrigues. Low performers are tolerated for years despite the fact that they have negative business impact. If you want to be successful in the career growth, you must fawn to senior leadership. Lack of women diversity in senior engineering leadership - just 2%. Company 'values' are not applicable for senior leadership but mandatory for promotion of the engineers. Problems are put under the carpet by senior leadership on site because their main focus is to survive as long as they can in Ocado. Disrespectful attitude by senior leadership on site towards engineers who actually are the main asset. In 2023 there were several rounds of layoffs, 2024 - high level of uncertainty, high demotivation.
