      Pros

      Benefits are good health care premium plan is very afordable.3 day weekend (1 per quarter) is also a plus.team enviromemt in the store makes it a pleasure to go to work.

      Cons

      Management quality of life is not a priority holidays need to be a scheduled day off if store is closed hourley employees get paid plus the day off.vacation time can only be taken one week per quarter and need to be taken at least 4 weeks apart.the way freight is sent to the stores is out of control the trucks come filled if there is room to put the merchandise in the building or not.also there is a big disconect between what the head office wants the stores to acomplish in limited time and space and what can be completed

      Pros

      Good benefits, ability to freely merchandise, revolving assortment of new merchandise and generally good close out pricing. Special discount promotions offered to seniors, vets, first responders and teachers.

      Cons

      50 hr plus work weeks vs some company's 45 hr work weeks. Lack of an efficient replenishment system to prevent overloading smaller size stores. Lack of specialized positions to handle special company programs.

      What a mistake!

      Pros

      Assistant managers, FES, sales associates all seemed like decent people. Twenty percent discount was nice. Work is hard, but you'll leave feeler a little more fit after every shift. Although my friend and I were hired as 'Sales Associates', we never had to deal with customers.

      Cons

      Management prone to sudden outbursts of hostility, blaming anyone/everyone else for their short comings. Management can be genuinely scary to be near, as you just don't know when one is going to fly off the handle. I was asked to perform certain tasks, then was chewed out after doing what was asked of me. Management seems to have memory issues, they would insist that I was never told to do it. Huh? It wasn't just me. All my co-workers had it happen to them too. Also, management was not nice at all to customers, which I found surprising.
