Pros

Positive work culture, 4.75$ shift differential for nights and weekends. Magnet status. Large network of jobs so transferring within is easy. Overtime offered regularly.

Cons

Nothing to report, I’m happy and content. I’ve been here for almost 2 years and I’ve been floated to almost every floor and can’t complain.

Pros

Water machine in the break room. Opportunity to work from home.

Cons

No sick time offered in my department. Any unscheduled time off is not covered by TAP. Only allowed 3 occurrences. What kind of policy is this? No extra benefits for Military other than the minimum of what is required by FMLA. If you don't work on a main campus, you don't get any of the special perks. Also, healthcare coverage is bad. Real bad and overly expensive. Forced to use TAP if no work available. Management is very hands off.

OhioHealth Response

At OhioHealth, the well-being of our associates is important. That’s why we offer a variety of benefits for associates that are designed to deliver the highest quality and value. OhioHealth benefits are offered to all OhioHealth employed associates who meet the hours worked requirement. Associates who are regularly scheduled to work at least 48 hours per pay period (every two weeks) are eligible for medical, dental, vision and other benefits. Our medical benefits, that include a Health Savings Account Plan (HSA), are competitive with others in our market, including plan premiums. The plan encourages good health habits to build on your foundation of wellness and prevention. Preventive care is covered 100 percent by OhioHealth and OhioHealth helps fund the associate’s HSA and so can the associate. OhioHealth offers many well-being resources that surpass many employers in the market including discount on medical benefit premiums for taking healthy steps to maintain or improve their health and Fitness Rewards that pay for gym memberships. Time Away Pay (TAP) is a single bank of hours that associates can use for personal and family needs such as vacations, personal time and short-term illnesses ― this includes sick time. TAP is available to associates with scheduled hours of 32 or more per pay period (every two weeks). The number of hours earned each pay period is based on the associate’s benefit service date and the hours worked during the pay period. Again, this benefit is similar to other employers in the market. OhioHealth has the highest respect and appreciation for our military associates and their families. Our military and other leave policies also align with what other employers offer in the market. Each year, OhioHealth honors our military associates with a Veteran’s Appreciation event that includes a breakfast and a program with recognition from our senior leaders.
