Pros

if you are smart, clever, attentive, organized, and curious, you will do VERY well in a customer service position. If you lack any of the above mentioned, hopefully you're pretty so the rest of the office can tolerate you. Some of the management team are amazing, compassionate, easy to talk to,

Cons

I used to be so proud to say I worked here... However, the last 4 years has changed for me, a lot. I've been here for many years now and it's a slap in the face every time we get our annual cost of living raise. For example, everyone works in maintenance or on the dock receives an additional .90 per hour...BUT, not if you work in the office, you'll only get 3 or 4% of your current pay...That screams volumes to me about their appreciation, or lack thereof, the people who handle the pencil pushing. The last 6 years, I've seen nothing but complete idiots get promoted. This is an absolute 'boys club' and if you ain't lucky enough to be one of the boys, well, hopefully your mortgage/rent isn't too high. If you are in an office/administrative position, hopefully you're comfortable doing that for the rest of your career. I had one of the Asst Terminal Managers tell me that there's nowhere for me to go as far as advancement.

Pros

Ability for some to work from home Overtime Competitive wages (used to be anyway) Paid insurance Paid vacation Paid holidays

Cons

Way too much overtime No raise in the last 2 years in my department The only way to get a raise is to increase your production speed with bills per hour. Good luck doing that when there are 2+ hours of overtime every single day and no added breaks or down-time to help out with all the extra work. You're expected to type just as fast at 4:30am as you were at 6 or 7 pm when your shift began. With no extra break. So, a massive increase in workload, and little ability to make more money. The company came right out and told us in 2019 that we made too much money and that raises are over for the foreseeable future. They want the best billers, work us ALL NIGHT, and want to pay less. If you're not getting a pay raise, you're getting a pay cut, that's how inflation works. They're fine with cutting pay while increasing hours at work and reducing our free time. You can make $23 an hour at Starbucks these days. A corporate job that requires 50+ hours a week of someone's work for a company making BILLIONS in profits is worth more than cups of coffee.

Pros

You get Saturday and Sunday off but that’s the only plus.

Cons

Everything else. Pay blows when you first get hired. Then you don’t get to full rate for 3 years doesn’t matter how much experience you have. Management is awful. They treat you like a slave. They will try to kill you to make you quit. The dispatching is literally the worst I’ve ever seen. They will route you 100 miles out of your way to get a pickup just to bring you back where you started from. Complete idiots. The good ol boys that have been there and kiss the supervisors, you know what, get everything they want. I absolutely hate working here. When winters over I’m gone. Anywhere is better than here. I sometimes think flipping burgers at McDonald’s would have been a better idea than working for these bozos. You’d be better off committing suicide if this is the only job you can find.
