Pros

Above average pay for an LTL carrier. Solid benefits all around. Excellent support staff for the most part. Fairly predictable schedules. Truly excellent trainers.

Cons

You are on call for your first year or two. The tractors for the city drivers are quite old and beat up. Hours available are quite seasonal, so the winter can be rough for new employees. Corporate panics at any hint of OT.

Pros

Awesome starting wage for dock workers. The company actually cares about their employees. Very happy I'm here! No need to look anywhere else.

Cons

In Oregon there's no overtime until you hit 60 hours. No day shift for dock workers. Production based raises (although they're not tough).

Pros

I have learned so much about how to handle a forklift through out my time working for Bowles fluids

Cons

Only downside of working for this company, it's about to close down in December
