Pros

Some of the people are good to work with, but the good ones don't stay long. ESOP is good, benefits are good, and vacation is awesome for people who have been in the industry for a while.

Cons

No advancement unless you leave and come back. Managers are terrible and only look at the numbers and not the people, which is pushed from the top down. The bonus program is a pyramid scheme that only benefits management. Pay is not great. The projects are terrible and poorly managed. Too many non-engineers running the show.

Pros

Benefits package is overall decent

Cons

If I could rate this company a 0 I would. I worked at Olsson for 1.5 years and it was the worst workplace experience I have ever had. Project managers throw work your way and expect you to know what you're doing right out of the gate. If you are not meeting their expectations of the work being done they will not approach you about how to improve but instead wait months down the road and complain to upper management in an effort to get you off the project. There is no transparency between management and employees. Management is not on your side even though they preach being a team. I felt I got hired because workloads were high at the time and when they slowed down, I was no longer needed. You will only get recognition for working a lot of overtime and if you only work 40 hours a week you are not seen as a valuable asset to the team. Pay is low even though the company is growing and making more revenue every year. There is no room for growth.
