Pros

Very few pros. It was an OK stepping stone so to speak.

Cons

Omni has become a place where management cares little for employees and more about guess reviews. Look at how the reviews here have increased in a very short time. It is well known throughout the organization that executive committee employees were told to write fake reviews here.

Omni Hotels Response

We are sorry to hear of your experience at the Omni Louisville Hotel. We are working diligently to hire the most qualified candidates for our open positions. The hotel has been extremely busy since opening and due to the strong demand, we have had to bring in some temporary workers. Our goal is to provide the best service to our external and internal guests and make improvements where needed. Omni Hotels & Resorts provides an open door policy for our associates to share feedback and we encourage all associates to utilize this process. We appreciate your feedback.

Pros

Inexpensive meal plan and employee hotel room discounts.

Cons

I worked for Omni for 2 years, after they acquired our resort. Omni management took over and the quality of the property and staff went downhill thereafter. They do not invest in upkeep and the so-call "promote from within" moto is boloney, unless you are willing to take a pay cut and be overworked. They make up names for positions just so you don't become manager or director. A definite good-ol-boys club with very little women or any minorities advancing in executive level positions. The upper management is constantly being coached to deliver bad news, which makes it almost impossible to retain good employees. Pay stays low and the management training programs are outdated. The low-rated benefits don't make up for their lack of leadership and their lack of true advancement opportunities. Waste of time here, work for a place that appreciates superb workmanship.
