Pros

The pay is good. Somewhat. For starting out, and being a beginner interpreter with no previous experience (Or credentials), they pay a decent per-hour rate. That's about it though. There is no training, so you're all on your own, which might or might not be a bad thing for you.

Cons

Many, many errors in the system. This typically means more money for an employee, but it still isn't enough to pay any of your bills. They (My boss) give you such few hours a week that it doesn't even satisfy a part-time status. There is no room for improvement except on experience alone. Beware of asking for a raise or anything along those lines. Your boss will step on you. I also felt that there was very little communication between employee and boss. She kept telling me that I don't even work for OCC so to not even bother with associating myself with them (Even though I carry out a lot of their tasks). You have to go to many many places using your gas and although you get compensated, I feel as though it's a drain on your resources. Overall, very incompetent and with no benefits. All they care about is giving you your money's worth, which I hear is about half of what is given to someone with credentials, and the rest they leave up for you to figure out. I detest working for them most of the time and constantly hope for a better job.

Pros

Good salary and bonus plan. Quality services and great support staff. Clients were satisfied with the services - however competition and providers were starting to undercut OCCM and causing clients to leave/reduce referrals.

Cons

Had a good job with another company in the industry and was contacted about company expanding sales reps in the area. Even though I was exceeding assigned goals, executive management decided to lay me off, and 30% of the field sales force nationally. The person in my territory that was retained, was not meeting their assigned goals over the same time period. Based on what I could surmise, the person who decided which one of us to retain, was based on a past working relationship and not on performance. On top of this, OCCM enforced their 12 month non compete agreement - even on employees that were there less than 12 months.
