Pros

Good benefits. Medical is decent and affordable. Dental was really good considering. PTO was adequate. There were a lot of other great programs and benefits.

Cons

Wages are just okay. Not worth the Stressful job. I went on as a lender but spent majority of my time being a collector. Mandatory Saturdays for collection calls. You have lending goals but you also have collection requirements and your petty bonuses are affected by both. Calling people 3x a day because their payment is 10 days overdue is just ridiculous. There were days I made 150 calls or more in ONE DAY. While still training and worrying about a lending goal. Cedar Rapids Branch had terrible management in my tenure. Which made the already hard job worse. However I will say: the DM was a nice guy. He would have been able to make more of an impact if his hands weren’t tied by policy.

Collection duties are part of the primary duties for individuals including branch and call center staff members. It is important that OneMain protects its loan portfolio and collects on accounts that have become delinquent. Our compensation and benefits package are evaluated and guided by a set of company principles that are regularly reviewed. Specifically, as part of our evaluation process our pay and salary ranges are informed and adjusted based on industry standards, general pay practices, and geography. - ck

Pros

Great health benefits, great incentives, great work life balance.

Cons

They allow upper management to treat employees poorly. Managers will reward poor behavior to prevent turnover. They also change policy every week so it is extremely hard to keep up. Employees are discouraged from going to HR with issues they are having with coworkers. Full of toxic positivity!
