      Pros

      I enjoy working with smart people in a collaborative environment. Senior management seems focused on the right initiatives to keep Springleaf relevant in a rapidly-changing world.

      Cons

      Being an older established company, there is sometimes a lot of bureaucracy that has built up over time that doesn't seem necessary anymore. It is often difficult to change these things that longer-term employees are used to performing.

      Great benefits, best pay for this position in town.

      Cons

      It is becoming increasing more difficult to meet goals with stricter guidelines. It seems like every week there is something else that is going to prevent customers from qualifying, and if the do there is so much proof required. You would think a company in the business of making loans would want to look for ways to make them, not the other way around.

      1. Project execution hampered by a byzantine approval process 2. Internal email system creates needless friction for both internal and external communication 3. Some departments focused on CYA instead of driving the business forward
