Excellent benefits package and good 401k match (if you were grandfathered in from the old plan, circa 2001).

Cons

Work culture could easily be compared to the retail clothing industry; burn out. High pressure sales goals coupled with excessively overpriced financial products is a recipe for client failure. There are minimal fiduciary guidelines set to follow when working with clients so the majority of the products sold are clearly in the best interest of AGF. Success depends on your relationship management skills, likability factor, and ability to coerce upper management into thinking you really care about your position.

The best reasons to work for CitiFinancial are pay, people, benefits, stock match, and vacation. A lot of your happiness will depend on who your boss is and also possibly who his/her boss is.

Cons

The downsides of working at CitiFinancial are high loan rates(though it is a secondary lender), collections, and stress. When times are not good the bonuses are really cut back.

Experience with multiple aspects in the banking industry. Loan originating, sourcing, closing, reviewing and approving credit decisions, etc.

Cons

Feel absolutely terrible for giving good people terrible loans that absolutely screw them. once you screw them you keep refinancing them and making it even worse, and you have to in order to keep your job.
