Pros

Only pro is a better starting salary than most, but see below.

Cons

I worked here a few years back on the recruiting side - good luck trying to do anything. No training, no management, you're thrown into a seat and given zero opportunity to do anything. They flaunt a higher than average salary than the rest of the competition, but then give you about 3 months before they pull the plug if you're not putting up 3 or more deals.

All new employees that are hired to work at Open Systems go through a comprehensive and open ended hands on training program. We will teach you how to recruit, terminology, and how to handle certain situations. As for “Pulling the plug” after three months if you are not putting up two to three deals a month is simply not true.

Pros

Tough to say, if you get into the right group, you could be all right, but the lack of training and management makes it hard to thrive long-time.

Cons

Just like other staffing agencies, this company claims to have a hold in the market and do not have the band-width to compete with the major players, that coupled with ineffective leadership and dishonesty from management towards employees (especially in terms of work-life balance), sold on being able to balance a family and career, but when it comes down to it, employees are treated like objects whom are only there to work and aren't treated as human beings - you barely get enough time off to spend with family around the holidays, which there are virtually none - everything else is considered PTO.
