Pros

As mentioned work/life balance in most areas of the company are decent. Granted it depends on you branch of the business and individual management teams.

Cons

If you aren't in Corporate HQ or not in sales, you're just an anonymous number on a balance sheet. Company is very acquisition and sales driven, focusing on being a bigger sales number business rather than tech. Acquisitions are often gutted for a fraction of its resources and leave the rest to be cut out as a cost savings or forgotten with little to no support until the revenue stream dries up from the existing customer base. On the individual level - low pay, no mobility, open-floor half-cubicle work environment, no concept of training or real employee support, most non-HQ offices feel forgotten about until its time for the yearly layoffs.

Pros

AE's get tremendous support from the Engineering community, delivering quality products quickly, based on visions from the CTO. AE's are well-compensated, and have the chance to make a lot of money by closing big deals.

Cons

If you're not in the Enterprise Group selling ECM products, you're quickly forgotten. It's all about ECM for this company, though many products have been integrated into the ECM stack. There is so much acquisition of companies going on, it's hard to be considered meaningful. They buy and slice, not only in the general admin, but in Sales as well. Better have a great year, every year.

Tired of the Politics

Pros

Do your job, and for the most part, management won't bother you

Cons

Politics - I'm really tired of management saying one thing in public during town hall and all-hands meetings, then behind closed doors the opposite. Don't preach thinking outside the box, helping sales, and going beyond your role if you are only going to shoot down every idea or slap someone on the wrist when try to go above and beyond to generate revenue. Compensation - No Bonus structure and pitifully small raise pool. If you are in a delivery role, don't expect to be rewarded for hard work. They instituted a program to acknowledge other employees, but management is scared to use it in fear they will be seen as spending too much money and breaking budgets. Make sure you ask for larger salary up front.
