Pros

I liked most of the people I worked with in all departments. Pay is very good as are the benefits. The company has great potential.

Cons

Very controlling of time. We must be compounding at all times. Get reprimands for taking a break other than lunch (even though we are entitled to two 15-minute breaks and are otherwise isolated in a clean room). Asked/Demanded to stay late every day. Sometimes the only choices are to stay late and finish the work or leave and be emotionally blackmailed about patient care. There were times when I never saw my kids all week. Working for this company was truly a nightmare. They only staff the minimum to keep the site running. If anyone takes a day off (scheduled or not) it puts everyone else in a bind as they have to pick up the slack (it's not so bad for other positions which can get help remotely but for those who have to work on-site, it's awful). They refuse to let anyone have any time off if someone else in the same department is already off, even for emergencies, due to the minimal staffing.

Pros

Fully remote with all equipment provided.

Cons

2 Weeks of corporate training with no overview of why or how the training fit into your work day. No nesting at all once corporate training is over. None of my co workers had time to train me. The work load is incredible, and you have no time to finish everything, since CTS's, Pharmacists and Warehouse are constantly asking for things. Patient collections is required but not mentioned during interview process. This job is a sweatshop with no concern to how much work is demanded of you. They lure you in with a good pay rate, but provide inadequate training and then expect you to figure out their insanely complicated process, without actually having the process documented. Run away-not worth the stress!

Pros

Fair benefits, fair compensation (upon hire…)

Cons

-high turnover, especially with management -consistently understaffed -mandatory overtime due to understaffing -restriction on overtime (yes, we were confused, too) -physically demanding (compounding tech) -no work/life balance due to long hours and mental exhaustion -new employees hired in at 15%+ higher wages than senior employees -management is incompetent and doesn’t value employee input -company restructuring is eliminating job stability -firing/laying/downsizing without warning in my last 6 months, i was worked to the bone with heavy lifting and long hours. workload at our branch tripled in a matter of weeks, but it took nearly 5 months to hire and retain anyone new. pharmacy was finally fully staffed!!! one month later, UNANNOUNCED, management came in and FIRED, one by one, the patient coordinator, warehouse manager, 5 technicians, and 2 pharmacists. five of these people had the most seniority in the office! not to mention the other managers, pharmacists, nurses, etc. that we’re picked off one at a time for none other than budget/staffing reasons. the only hope for OCH employees is to coordinate and unionize so upper management can stop trampling on the lives of these doctors, nurses, caregivers, that give 110% to a company willing to drop you like a fly.
