Pros

Good people, lots of opportunity, and you can grow your business as much as you are will to work for it.

Cons

Management messed with everyone's pay over past 2 years which has resulted in allot of consultants leaving. Hard to sell a service if you don't have anyone to staff it.

Pros

Work from home and large salary

Cons

You're just a person/number, if you're in the field Optiv security partners would be astonished by what Optiv leadership says behind closed doors about their reseller partners. There is no partnership, and they are driving away a number of partners to further business. Optiv is actually trying to move away from their partner's products and focus mainly on services. Optiv believes the traditional VAR is dead. This company is desperate, as they didn't hit their numbers in 2017, so leadership is in real trouble, if they don't hit numbers again in 2018. C-Levels will not be with Optiv in 2019 if these numbers aren't achieved, plus for the first time in company history, quotas were reduced in hopes of actually hitting sales numbers. Uncompetitive versus other IT security service providers for assessments, etc. Smaller IT security resellers and service providers are more flexible to fit customer's needs. Over-scoping of projects is well known by customers. Really only focused on the large Fortune 1000 companies, so mid-enterprise/SMB companies are unable to pay the large service fees. Churn and burn from the Executive level. Over the past two years, there has been so much turnover at the executive & management level, and a lot of the old leadership has been forced out. This definitely has impacted culture and Glassdoor rating, as I believe it was a 4-star company when I joined. Low commission structure

Pros

-Excellent support throughout the on-boarding and training process -Dual monitor and laptop/dock setup for remote employment is more than adequate and performs very well. (I would prefer one larger higher resolution monitor but that's because I'm spoiled from personal use.) - The team I'm on is supportive, welcoming, and eager to assist with questions about workflow and processes. This seems to be the norm across the company but I can only speak to my direct experience. -Easy to fill in knowledge gaps with available tools and managerial support -Work-life balance for my position is beyond excellent, and people respect your off-time (which, frankly, I'm not used to, and it's awesome) -Compensation is above board for my local region, and YMMV but for my town I'm doing a type of job that isn't really available here, and the difference in corporate culture vs. what we have available locally is mind blowing. -My team is managed well, and I am kept up to date on how I'm performing and encouraged to grow and expand within my role. My direct manager is newer but has yet to let me down with any questions or situations that have required her intervention.

Cons

I have not experienced any at this time, and that is not me BS'ing. All jobs have their good and bad days, but other than being "busy" doing the job, I have absolutely zero complaints that are worth listing.
