Pros

-- Excellent leadership at the top, led by some truly visionary people -- One of the truly unique "full service" security providers (hell, the ONLY) -- Leadership is letting the big ego go, and focusing on those who really want to be change catalysts for a better tomorrow -- Ability to execute is paramount, and leadership appears to understand the value of DO over TALK -- Middle tier of management is mostly solid, understands company goals -- Opportunity abounds, and if you're not happy with your job today, there are a LOT of openings on other teams

Cons

-- Still some internal politics and jockeying for position -- Middle tier of management starting to work together as a unit, needs to pick up pace -- Relationships are important, but sometimes this drives decisions (good or bad)

Growing fast!

Pros

Being part of the largest information security company in North America is a pretty cool opportunity. We get to do amazing things for our clients and represent the largest technology partners in the world. The leadership team is a combination of the best from Accuvant and FishNet and they're doing an amazing job of putting these 2 companies together. It's given people new growth opportunities, promotions, and is starting to address the problems that both companies were unable to address separately (systems consolidations, process flow problems, etc). It really is a great company that provides a fantastic quality of life.

Cons

Integration of the 2 companies has it's challenges as you'd imagine. Putting 2 $750M companies together is no small feat. Moving so fast sometimes things get missed and creates opportunities to come back and touch things a second time. Creating a single company means rolling out new processes, systems, and employee benefits. There's just no way around it. However, some people are hung up on the "way it used to be at Accuvant/FishNet" and get upset when it didn't go the way they think it should have. I don't worry about it much as those things are all expected, but some of the reviews here come from a very small point of view.

Pros

I'm an executive at company so I can openly admit I'm drinking the kool-aid. However, I think everyone that works at Optiv is just beginning to see what a powerful company we put together brining Accuvant and Fishnet together. ITs definitely been a bit of a bumpy ride and not without stress over the last six months but our launch at Blackhat was the first time we really saw the power of brining Optiv to life. We had some of the best presence there. We are also a purpose led company. This isn't just about making money in the security space but truly helping to protect other companyies. Our purpose is to "Create confidence in a more connected world" and we really believe that. We have tons of job openings and this is an opportunity to get on the ground floor of a company that will transform the security industry. We're developing several startups inside the company even to build out capabilities around ELK stack, advanced threat hunting and more. The company itself wants to act like a nimble start up which means putting in some long hours right now. However, when you talk to people in the company I think you will find people who are passionate and absolutely excited about what we're bringing together. Our CEO is very humble and love to meet directly with staff. He has done a number of breakfast and lunches with employees whenever he travels and we have regular all hands to keep up with what is happening in the company.

Cons

Its been a lot of change very fast, possibly too fast. We tried to change everything at once because we wanted to get the old mindsets behind us and move to a combined company. Many of the people who are with the company were with their former companies for many years and we were traditional competitors of each other. Becoming one is company and putting that history behind us is not easy especially when we are not all in one physical place.
