Pros

- There are many genuinely exceptional employees here - DE&I is promoted heavily and always has been - 24/7 remote positions - Annual ACR means guaranteed annual raises

Cons

- Healthcare insurance providers were changed a couple years ago, we now have UHC and the options are horrible - If you lose your coin flip and end up underneath bad management, you're on your own. If you have a narcissistic toxic manipulative manager, there's nothing you can do and HR won't help you at all. - Unlimited PTO is only true if you're in the right role on the right team under the right management. I've had roles with excellent PTO ability but the role I've been in for a couple of years allows for less than 2wks of PTO a year due to toxic management. Burn-out is so real. - Optiv loves to understaff teams. Internal IT, Sales, Services, every pillar has this issue. It take months and months to get approvals for backfills. If a team is competent and can work understaffed, Optiv will happily drag their feet because less employees means more profit. It's incredibly discouraging. - Annual raises can be anywhere from 1% to 7% and it's at your management's discretion how much of a percentage you get. You can work incredibly hard, be an excellent team player, make your clients happy, but if you have a toxic manager you won't get a good raise.

Pros

Optiv Security Review: I have had the opportunity to observe Optiv Security's operations and culture, and I feel compelled to share my concerns regarding recent events that have significantly impacted the company and its employees.

Cons

While Optiv has been recognized for its innovative approach to cybersecurity, recent layoffs of senior leadership and management within the thriving Service arms have raised serious questions about the company's priorities and values. Many of those let go were disabled veterans who played a crucial role in the success of the practice, contributing not only as individuals but also as leaders and team members. Their dedication and expertise were invaluable, and it's disheartening to see such talent and experience dismissed. Moreover, the aftermath of these layoffs has been troubling. Employees faced threats regarding NDAs and non-compete agreements, which for many meant the end of their careers in consulting. This heavy-handed approach not only undermines the trust and loyalty of former employees but also tarnishes the company's reputation in the industry.

Pros

Good pay, low stress and easy to hide. Great if you are a DEI employee as they will never lay you off as that is a huge focus.

Cons

Upper Management is clueless. When their strategies don't work they pivot, laying people off and then hire in Bangalore, India. The comp plans drove most of the good people out and then the laid off most of the other senior people over many rounds.
