Pros

The only pro that comes to mind is the lead I had when I started working there. She was unbelievably AWESOME. Unfortunately, this company terminated her 1 month after I started as a result of the merger.

Cons

Poor interview process, poor management, poor work environment (too much drama), promises made by management are not kept and the people are RUDE, especially after you leave the company.

The Biggest Lie is "Investing in People"

Pros

The only 2 pros of working at Optiv are some of the people you work with and the unlimited PTO.

Cons

The company has not promoted anyone in the past three years, and salary increases have been minimal. Leadership expects employees to take on more work without fair compensation. Instead of retaining talent by offering competitive pay, they allow employees to leave and then hire external candidates at higher salaries. Even when they do promote from within, they offer significantly lower pay than the market rate. Loyalty is neither recognized nor rewarded. The insurance premiums are ridiculous.

Questionable "leadership" in company

Pros

It is a great place to learn the ropes of the solutions integrator/var business. There is potential to do well within the organization and make decent money, not great but decent.

Cons

Leadership has transitioned from people who carried a bag to guys that have MBAs and think they know what it takes to sell. They have very quickly devolved into management by spreadsheet. They recently did a RIF that involved roles across the board. The sale people were let go under the guise of under performance therefore they were not part of the RIF nor the severance packages. They only offered severance to non-sales related roles.
