Pros

-- Intelligent/Smart co-workers -- Unlimited (in-effect) PTOs giving a chance for a more balanced work-personal life -- Well known in United States and command respect with clients/customers

Cons

-- Benefits are non-existent or joke -- On-the-fly strategies. Example: They can turn on you by end of the quarter and decide that they are not going to pay your bonuses even when you have met the goals. -- Medical plan that they offer is ridiculous, super expensive and makes me and my family scared to even get some checkups with our providers. -- Inconsistent and immature higher management who fail to deliver on promises and for some reason cannot seem to get their act together

Pros

On face value, if you are in a role that they need (and can't outsource to India) then they will keep you and treat you well.

Cons

There's quite a bit of shady going on in their quest for world domination. In September they did a RIF and forced an entire department to sign a non-disparagement agreement (which was just made illegal). Essentially, we weren't even allowed to talk to our coworkers about being let go in a hush hush, overnight way for no reason other than they were outsourcing our jobs to India for cheaper wages. We were threatened with losing our severance if we talked to anyone about anything. The whole thing left me feeling super creeped out and like I did something wrong when I had been working like a Hebrew slave for months to meet their quotas and win new work from existing customers who already had bad experiences with Optiv. In the end, we were highly trained resources that cost more than India and it was an easy decision for management to decide they want cheap and dirty over quality at a fair price.

Pros

Unlimited PTO, cool office space, great colleagues.

Cons

The CMO has no understanding of Marketing Strategy, and no long term vision. Either he doesn't care enough or respect his team enough to rely on their expertise. And instead, makes snap decisions that do not contribute to long term goals. As a result, the Marketing department has become one giant popularity contest because the only way to win budget is to be the favorite flavor of the week. Work here if you'd like to be treated like an order taker for whatever random marketing activity seems "fun" this week.
