Pros

Love working here - there is lots of interesting work and challenging problems to solve. Management actually listens to suggestions from all over the business. The people are the top of their fields, very driven and genuinely open and collaborative.

Cons

No real downsides - Optiver is growing rapidly but management is doing everything it can to keep the same amazing culture.

Pros

Great work atmosphere. Good training period, challenging but very dynamic. They have arguably the best systems and algos; can make tons of money if you have what it takes.

Cons

Training focuses too little on the use of systems; make sure you're very good with computers before you start. High employee turnover.

Pros

Salaries good, because you are in financials, especially for senior level people. Lots of smart people there. Interesting work, good technologies. Great catered breakfasts and lunches, and there is no better benefits package available anywhere.

Cons

Fewer senior level people as time goes on. Lower and mid-level salaries seemed fair to middling. From the company's perspective, your relationship is very dry: you are there to work, and your reward is your pay. Perks such as classes, training, or certifications are rarely seen. You may be surprised to hear opinions expressed about your peers that should remain the purview of management.
