Pros

* Delicious, healthy, free food. Almost too good to be true. * Good salary growth. * Young, energetic co-workers.

Cons

* Managers who aren't interested in people skills. * Toxic, competitive culture. * Long hours, because of competitive culture, and projects are understaffed * Low job security, because management often fire people, leading to understaffed projects. * Poor opportunities for women. Management stated that "addressing gender equity in hiring is not a priority". * An employee rubbed faeces on the bathroom wall.

Great pay, dark culture

Pros

You will learn a lot about financial markets and work with 'unique,' high-performing, quantitative intelligence types. The pay is very competitive by Amsterdam standards. The company name is good if you want to stay in trading.

Cons

There is a dark underbelly at this company that the culture reflects. Expect to be worked to the bone. People on the floor disappear all the time (fired) with no explanation. Most people who can handle it sacrifice a few tough years, make their money and go early to retire. You have to decide what matters to you. Other boutique firms provide a much better quality of life and solid bonus too.

Pros

- good compensation - nice perks(trips, food etc) - good work/life balance

Cons

- unskilled middle management - during the period I have been there having initiative has become increasingly discouraged - although advertised as flat, the structure is very hierarchical - a rush for doing things fast without understanding the outcomes - a lot of politics
