Pros

Decent advancement opportunities, name recognition, sales training program in California is fun but ultimately pointless, good benefits, never work more than 40 hours/week

Cons

Unclear compensation structure, frequently misrepresents actual bonus, excruciatingly slow hiring process both internal and external, cutthroat to the point where sales are being lost because too many aggressive sales people are reaching out to the same accounts

Pros

1) Easy job, with lax environment (depending on manager you get to come to work and leave pretty much whenever you want as long as you are hitting your number) 2) Pay is respectable for the amount of work put in 3) Benefits are grade A, especially the 401k match

Cons

1) culture is completely convoluted and political with upper management having NO idea or CARE for what happens at our grunt level 2) Bonuses are COMPLETELY MADE UP in terms of how much you get paid for the amount of performance you attain-- I was a top performer for Q4 (which is Oracle's best selling period) and got paid HALF of what I was expecting-- all due to "performance was lacking in other areas of the business)-- complete BS excuse. 3) work is often extremely boring and monotonous with no critical thinking skills needed 4) No real investment in terms our organization and we are viewed as useless by the more senior sales representatives that we are supposed to help.
