      Being acquired is good and bad.

      Pros

      They make a lot of money. They seem to fix some of the obvious stuff.

      Cons

      It's pretty clear that they really aren't run that well, they just have a cash cow in their database that covers up for a lot of mistakes. IT infrastructure is a joke. Benefits are mediocre for a company this size. I find it hard to believe you can innovate here unless we are talking about small evolutions of existing products.

      Pros

      Great company to work for who wants to keep Work and Life balance. Depending on the group you work for, expose to great new technologies etc. Being part of the bigger entity like Oracle, you can look for internal opportunities for change in career.

      Cons

      Competitive salary at the time of hiring. But increments later was not that great for experienced folks. Most of the times promotions don't come with salary increases.
