      Pros

      Good healthcare. Flexible working arrangements (sometimes TOO flexible for team work)

      Cons

      1. Pay - 1 tiny pay raise in 5 years. Plus my salary is 20% below the Oracle average. Thereby effectively taking a pay cut with inflation etc. 2 Vacation does not accrue after 18 days PLUS this year we are having mandatory time off at Xmas. 3. Constant chipping away at little things (like above forced vacation PLUS taking away expenses for home internet connection) to save a small amount of money just alienates huge swathes of staff. 4. Management has no clue on how to motivate the folks below and only care about their OWN stock options and bonuses. We have seen way too many good technical people promoted to manager only to be a disaster in that role.

      Pros

      I have been with Oracle for almost 9 years now. Peers have a wealth of knowledge and this intellectual capital that is shared internally is one of the main reasons I stay here. Benefits are solid especially if you pay for the premium benefits which are pricey.

      Cons

      I have not received a raise in the almost 9 years I have been here but fortunately I negotiated well when I came in at the top of the range. I am an hourly employee and there is enough overtime to keep me here from a financial perspective. I was basically told by my immediate management that I am paid too much and to not expect a raise EVER!
