      Pros

      oracle is the largest start up you will ever work for. lots of opportunities to innovate and try out your ideas. great flexibility for internal transfers. benefits are terrific, with most people allowed to work from home.

      Cons

      salaries in marketing are among the lowest in the industry and it is very hard to get raises. good people tend to leave. bonuses infrequent and small. executive management is focused entirely on corporate earnings, and budgets are small and diminishing. management is not interested in investing to position oracle competitively in the market

      Pros

      The main advantage of working in Oracle is that there is an opportunity to practice very interesting computer science in a "normal" environment. By normal I mean that there is no pressure of releasing a new customer-facing product every week. Most of the products have a one or two year development cycle with a couple of minor releases in between. My colleagues and managers were mostly very friendly and I enjoyed my stay.

      Cons

      There were a few architects though who tended to act extremely arrogantly. The more important their position the more rude and arrogant their behaviour. It is quite puzzling why they were tolerated. The company tends to be very stingy about giving basic perks to their employees. Even getting necessary hardware resources can be quite a battle.

      Pros

      There is a sign on bonus and chance of receiving 2 other bonuses. There is also a commission based bonus that you can receieve.

      Cons

      There are some Cons to the package. The obvious that you do not know how much of the bonus you will receive and how much it will be taxed depending on the state you are in.
