Pros

The people within my team/department were great. My manager was supportive and communicative. I learned a lot from my other coworkers. Due to that, I had lots of opportunities for growth. I was sad about leaving my team when I left the company. This is a good company for those who are starting out. There were plenty of resources and support when I first started. Everyone was very understanding on that. I learned a lot and got visibility to different things. Remote - I did not reside near any offices so I was remote. Some of coworkers within the area did both WFH and in-office. In the department I was in, it wasn't as strict.

Cons

Benefits - Came as part of an acquisition, I had some of benefits taken away which wasn't great (I was a salaried employee at the previous company but became hourly at Oracle). There was miscommunications in the acquisition time frame on benefits. PTO - Keep in mind that during the winter break when the office is closed, everyone is required to use their PTO. Not a big deal for those who are salaried (unlimited PTO) but if you're hourly (accrual PTO), you're required to use your PTO that you accrued ... for days when the office is closed. Pay raises - In the first part of 2023, they announced that no one was getting raises or promotions for the year, while only the higher ups were getting raises/promotions ...

Pros

Great cafeteria, some interesting people.

Cons

Vastly underpaid. They put a 'freeze' on salary increases the year the CEO , Safra Katz, got a $55 million bonus. Travel to accounts in NYC was non-existent, unless you wanted to take the Greyhound bus, get up at 2 AM and turn around and come back the same day. There is nothing fair to report about how this company operated. And trying to get support for your clients? Forget about it. You have to submit expenses in minute details. MINUTE. I bought thank you notes after visiting with clients. Four months later they wanted me to list the names, titles and reasons for sending specific notes to each prospect. I am not kidding. This place is nuts. And don't get me started on the cases of beer in the refrigerator, the sexism, the vast indifference to customer needs. Just don't do it.

Pros

1. Good name and great software that is used widely so a good application skillset to develop; they trained me very well. 2. Great place to be very lazy, be lost in the pile and not work much if you like that lifestyle (I personally don't) 3. Unlimited learning resources as long as you are good at self-study. 4. I like the top managers like Safra and my EVP, they are really A-grade. 5. People are generally very nice here...a lot less individual "arrogance" here than when I worked for another software giant.

Cons

1. Treat their people as expendable, especially if you are in area not of interest to the corporate objectives of the day/fiscal year. 2. No raises, ever...need to change roles to get an adjustment. 3. Fight to find work and live in fear of a sudden layoff due to feeling contunually underutilzed. 4. Politics are a little much as they do not make sense verses utilizing proper available skillsets amid turf wars. 5. They "talk" an amazing game, delivery not so much at times.
