An Infuriating Place to Work

Pros

- Above average compensation if you're one of the chosen few. - Some decent coworkers in the trenches.

Cons

- Business model is ever-changing and based purely on the erratic CEO and his family drama. - Senior leadership refuses to engage in-house experts and instead - relies on misguided personal opinions (and even spouses/children) to drive important business decisions. - High-ranking managers often trade integrity for boot-licking to stay in the CEO's good graces. - Notable lack of minority presence and subtle misogynist tendencies from upper-management. - Lack of true transparency and adequate communication. - Paranoid employee management means not hiring from the outside when possible and allowing poor performing individuals to stay longer than appropriate due to fears of secret sharing.

Pros

Working with the fellow employees is good, we try to have good relationships and have a good time while getting the work complete. Work can be hard at times but work is work and its how to tackle it. We would tackle it right and have a good time getting it done with good attitudes.

Cons

It used to be a good family owned place to work at. That is gone and now it is a corporation. The work can be tough, but the worst part of OrePac is the new leadership. They are letting people go that don't worship them. thats right Worship them. They have a God type mentality and it is hard to get along with. They also puts you down constantly. They have reminded us countless times that they are smarter than we are as they have read more leadership books than we have and so thanks for input we will do it their way. they have reminded us countless times that at their old work place where they came from they were treated like a God and they had a nick name was actually God like name. I got so sick of hearing how cool they were as a top leader ship official it is their job to build up your team not tear them down. They came to a morning huddle on 11*2*2022 and said good morning, it was sent back poor they said o common good morning guys, they all yelled good morning (Their Name), in which he replied it's Mr. (Their Name) is how it should be. Leadership tries to hide anything as far as injury he can from corp. which are all supposed to be filled on at least an incident. So unless worked med is called they kept it local to as they would say control the narrative and how corp see's us. The employees as a whole do not like them or resect them. They have relived of duty 3 of four managers and has brought in friends of past work places. They let an employee go after almost 10 years of service. this employee had no written warnings, they claimed it was budget cuts. But then 1 week after this employee left they brought in a paid intern that is the owners kids college friend. Bottom line is once great place to work has changed to not be.
