Pros

Competitive benefits. Product is trendy & edgy which brings good business prospects

Cons

Management constantly fake gesturing, while acting complete opposite manner. Horrible communication between horizontal teams and in vertical structure. Zero long term planning in any company projects and lack of reflection in product quality / timeline. Heavy favoritism in upper management, gotta be typical tech bro to join the inner circle and get promotion. Middle management is also lack of experience and it shows in the massive talent exiting rate. Management is marginalizing the original Finland team while using Finland as the selling point of the product.

Pros

Company has good values. CEO has great vision, communicates, and motivates. Hybrid work. Good product that helps people.

Cons

Bad middle management. Authoritarian and micro-managing. Engineering by committee. No autonomy given to individuals. No freedom to be creative and come up with new ways of doing things better and more efficiently. Bad work-life balance. Eroding culture and morale as a result of bringing in new management that is authoritarian, narcissistic, and micro managing.

Pros

Oura is a fast growing company with a great product. They have a large and growing user base that is passionate about the product and there seems to be a continual stream of exciting new developments as it gains more and more traction. The company has a great culture with people who respect and value each other, and are eager to collaborate toward shared goals. I've been amazed at how infrequently I sense anyone feeling territorial or reluctant to take and share ideas freely across all aspects of the product. Oura's people are kind and easy going, our meetings are a great balance of focused/professional while leaving room for goofing off and keeping things light. We have a close knit team that is also very welcoming to newcomers, and I continually hear from our new employees how comfortable they feel and how easy they find it to gel with the team.

Cons

Being divided across Finland and San Francisco as the two primary offices, there are cases where you will need to field early calls in order to collaborate with a Finnish colleague (or late calls if you are based in Finland and collaborating with SF). This is becoming a smaller issue as Oura fills some gaps in both locations to limit how much cross-continental collaboration is necessary.
