Pros

This is a good place to learn premium auditing as a career and then move on once you have gained the necessary knowledge to work in the field. Best move would be to work for a carrier where salaries, benefits, etc are generally better.

Cons

Overland is a bit of a microcosm of our economy in that they are laying off employees, cutting costs to the bone including wages, endlessly reorganizing, and doing severe damage to their culture in the process. The employees as a result do not feel valued.

Pros

Its the people that make working at OSI even the slightest bit enjoyable. Great training program and regional management support. Great place to learn about premium audit and get an introduction to the auditing and insurance industry. If the top portion of the organization were chopped the company might have a chance if OSI starts paying their auditors and providing incentives to stay.

Cons

The pay is embarrassing to say the least and all of the tenured employees are jumping ship in droves. Auditors are micromanaged because of the direction and control of upper management. It is more and more obvious that upper management does not care about anything but profit. Auditors are reaching burn-out with no end in sight.

Pros

If organized you can be independent to a degree as you will be making your own schedule.

Cons

Lack of leadership, high production expectations, lack of management support such as the lack RELEVANT initial training , ABSENCE of continuing education, top-down, do as you are told, don't ask questions one way communication, manipulated lengthy review process of submitted work (1 to 2 weeks) resulting in LOW compensation, widespread misinformation, often outright lies
