Thanks for your feedback! It is important to us to grow and improve each day in order to be a great place to work for our employees! Since February: - Our new, dedicated HR person has been fully ramped up. - We have completed a set of salary bands that inform all pay decisions (internally and for new hires) to ensure that compensation is equitable across the organization. While we cannot compete on pay with the Amazons and Facebooks of the world, we pay fairly and offer many other opportunities for growth and development. - We have made sure our promotion and advancement process is finalized and transparent, and several employees have been moved into higher roles. - Our leadership team has worked closely with the CEO to solidify our 2019 goals and have trickled them down to the divisional level so that each team and individual knows what is most important and how they can contribute to it. Additionally, half-yearly planning summits for the CEO and leadership team are now fully implemented and the outcomes of these events are tactfully rolled out company-wide. - We have put several processes and systems into place to increase company-wide transparency and reduce the need for speculation. We are excited about the growth we've seen within the organization throughout 2019, and continue to maintain an ongoing, open feedback loop to make sure we are meeting everyone's needs!

Pros

I've never worked in a place with such wonderful people. Truly, the staff at Ovia is what will keep you excited about coming to work every day. The people are passionate, fun, and really care about one another. Speaking of caring, it's clear that leadership cares about creating a quality experience for the women supported by Ovia's apps. It's a mission driven organization which makes it an exciting place to work and grow.

Cons

There's a company value "do more with less." You'll absolutely be doing that at Ovia. While it's great to wear many hats, you'll frequently be asked to go outside your job description or complete projects with very few resources. If you want to work here, you'll need to embrace the startup environment. If that excites you, then you'll probably really enjoy working at Ovia.

Thank you so much for your review! It's true that the people at Ovia make it an amazing place to work - I hear time and again how supported employees feel here by their teams, and have experienced it first-hand myself! The concept of doing more with less certainly can feel overwhelming at times, especially at a growing startup company. We do work hard here, and we also have many systems in place to allow for flexibility, balance, and generally being human!

Thanks for your feedback! It is important to us to grow and improve each day in order to be a great place to work for our employees! Since December: - Our leadership team has worked closely with the CEO to solidify our 2019 goals and have trickled them down to the divisional level so that each team and individual knows what is most important and how they can contribute to it. Additionally, half-yearly planning summits for the CEO and leadership team are now fully implemented and the outcomes of these events are tactfully rolled out company-wide. - We have made sure our promotion and advancement process is finalized and transparent, and several employees have been moved into higher roles. - The Operations team has been working hard to solicit feedback about our communication strategies and has put several processes and systems into place to increase company-wide transparency and increase the efficiency of our communication. - We have made some impressive leadership-team hires who are really driving us forward in the second half of the year! We are excited about the growth we've seen within the organization throughout 2019, and continue to maintain an ongoing, open feedback loop to make sure we are meeting everyone's needs!
