Pros

Nice area to live in.

Cons

Testing only environment working for a bankrupt level supplier. Technically isolated and Mgmt. is unwilling to provide technical training off-site for employees to keep up with the rest of the world. All jobs are falsely advertised as calibration jobs and they are only testing positions. Beware all experienced calibrators, there are no calibration positions in this company.

Pros

Job security No overtime for most Easy commute location for public transportation

Cons

I had a very horrible experience working in the HR department. They should be honest and call it the Personnel Office or Labor Acquisition Department. There is little respect for people and their individual dignity and well being. Not uncommon at all to hear inappropriate comments about employees (age, weight, looks, ethnic features) from the leadership! They view coming to work sick and when the roads are hazardous (and Sound Transit isn't running) and handling abusive behavior as a requirement and a badge of honor. Despite the economy and people seeking security in employment, turnover in the HR department was astounding and leadership didn't care.

Pros

Pension Some of the coworkers are great Holidays and weekends off Will over your basic needs - putting roof over your head and food on the table

Cons

I worked for this company for 3+ years. We were expected to adapt to their needs and customers to work from home. But now 2+ years later we are expected to adapt to coming back to their outdated office and equipment. There is literally no space in the office. Actually the Renton parts building is over capacity and yet management expects people to be in. Some of the managers are great but others should seriously consider taking a management course!!! The pay is low compared to other companies. They recently allowed 2 work from home days HOWEVER they are micromanaging the days you are allowed at home. It’s not like we haven’t worked at home for 2+ years? We aren’t children. The HR department is horribly rude and corrupt. If you have multiple offers and paccar is one of them, for sure consider the other companies over Paccar. The mentality here will definitely drain you over time and take a toll on your mental health. you are just considered replaceable here.
