Pros

Health benefits, 401k, other benefits that are not offered in most private practices

Cons

Though PDS offices offer " the latest and greatest technology " supplies and staff to support this are under supplied. They claim that the most important principles is to provide patients with their much needed dental care . However, to achieve this you need a good team lead by a good leader. There is a lack of both and it is due to lack of hiring knowledgeable staff and experienced ones. When budgets are not met, staff and supplies are cut. Good staff is difficult to hire because "they are asking too much" which is not in the budget. The current employees are upset because they don't feel appreciated and don't get raises because it's not "within budget and the office does so poorly and can't make budget." However, I receive emails congratulating regional managers, regional partners getting promotions to newly formed corporate positions. Docs and staff are asked ( well actually forced) to work longer hours and Saturdays. I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually made Sunday hours mandatory. Beware associate doctors! PDS only cares about the owners, corporate positions and specialists. You are offered good money initially. If you want to make what you deserve, be prepared to be a PDS servant , not a doctor who spent eight years+ of intense education who deserves way more respect and appreciation.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We agree, our benefits are something that sets us apart from other dentist’s offices. Providing our patients with needed dental care is our priority, we are sorry to hear you did not feel that was reflected in your office. We also agree that the many positions you mentioned are key roles in our supported offices and we hope to show appreciation for all they do. With that being said, we will pass along your suggestions to our leadership team.
