Pros

You WILL get your hours... And then some

Cons

Work life balance is horrible and God forbid you are legitimately sick and call out. I've rotated through 7 doctors in less that 2 years at my office.

Pros

Pay is slightly higher than other dental offices which is nice. The offices(for the most part) all seem fairly new, clean, and modern.

Cons

Where to begin...no work/life balance, countless days where you clock in and work til close without lunch or a break(if lucky you may have time to run and use the bathroom). Understaffed in regards to assistants. 2 doctors and 1 hygienist with only 2 assistants causing the assistants to be stretched thin and pulled into multiple patient rooms at a time. The company states "actively looking for a new assistant" yet there's never any interviews and the requirements for the posted job are now to the point that nobody meets them.

Pros

If you want to start your dental career perfect place to work. PDS is willing to train and educate even if a person has no dental experience. They are really good with metrics and goal driven. Great dental benefits.

Cons

All offices are retail hours. Keep in mind during good interview they don't discuss they hours. OMs work 13+ hours a day. OM and dentist work long hours and take stress out on staff. If you have a family I wouldn't recommend working for PDS. Most of offices close late during the week and you are not home for dinner. The lack of communication between National and regional staff is horrible. Plus you don't get anytime off until you have worked at PDS for 90 days. They PTO benefit is horrible. If you are single and have no kids this a good place to work because it costume your whole life. No work life balance.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We are thrilled to read your positive comments about great benefits, training and goals. As you know, PDS®-supported offices drive a patient focused business; while this is very valuable to patients, it also challenges employees to find balance because the needs of the patient may require earlier and/or later hours than anticipated. We appreciate your candid feedback and we will be sure to pass your feedback along to our leadership team. Thank you!
